What I read in July

I revisited Rosamunde Pilcher this summer. I re-read the Shell Seekers and then for a taste of Christmas in July, I picked up a copy of Winter Solstice. Perfect comfort reading.

Winter Solstice

Rosamunde Pilcher is one of those authors I return to again and again. Her books might not be fashionable at the moment, but they endure.

I went a bit more highbrow with the next one.  My daughter is reading adaptations of the Odyssey by modern women writers, so I tackled this:

The Penelopiad

Margaret Atwood is another favourite author, and I think this won’t disappoint.
